Drink More Coffee... Make More Happy Mail

Hello Again
and
Welcome Back For another Mail Art Monday!!!

Ok, So I have a confession... Yes, I am addicted to Coffee!!!
I got a Keurig  for Christmas, and Now I'm Crazy addicted! So if you are like me grab a cup of White Chocolate Caramel Cappuccino and lets get Crafty!!!
(stamps used listed at the bottom)

(I'm currently enjoying my coffee from my awesome Whovian Mug from my two awesome friends Scott and Jillian, and yes the T.A.R.D.I.S. does totally disappear and move to the other side of the mug when cooled!!!!!)

I started with a standard plain white A2 Envelope.  I started by measuring out where I wanted my quote stamp, then I stamped it in Versamark Ink. Then I used black embossing powder so that It would stand out.  Next, I stamped the coffee cup in black StaZon ink in Jet black, then masked it off so that I could work on the background.

I inked the background in frayed burlap distress ink, then I stamped the waybill/invoice randomly over the envelope. Next, using Vintage photo distress ink I stamped the coffee ring stain, and double coffee ring stain. (Before I stamped them on the envelope, I spritzed them with water so that the ink would be a little more drippy).

Ok, now remove the mask.
I used vintage photo, and frayed burlap ink on my craft mat to water color the coffee cup, and the shadow below the cup.

Well, There you have it.
One super easy and fun coffee envelope Great for anyone, and any occasion!

Wibbly Wobbly TARDIS Card's

Hello! Fiona here with you today to share with you my "Wibbly Wobbly T.A.R.D.I.S cards. Of course I HAD to make something using the Blue Police Box stamp!

I know I have lots of new and exciting stamps from VLVS to play with but I really couldn't wait to create something "Whovian".

The stamp is a fabulous size at 2 3/4" x 4' so really perfect for shrinking! That's exactly what I did. I stamped it a couple of time onto some white shrink plastic (2 of them because I knew I'd wreck one ...... and I did!) and then coloured them with some Distress Ink. The new Blueprint Sketch colour is the Perfect T.A.R.D.I.S colour.
Then I taped off some white card stock and added some more Distress Inks to begin the background!

Then the process of creating a scene from out of space began! First a flick of water, next some white flicks, then some dark blue flicks, after that I added some black ink splats and finally some white ink splatter with a fan brush so I would get really fine spots to represent galaxy's far far away! Once it was all dry I attacked it with my black and white pens.

A close up shows you how the layers create an out of this world background!

Now I did say "Cards" plural more than one so here is the second T.A.R.D.I.S card. I made this one for a friends daughter who is a one eyed Whovian (YAY!).

I just used a simple fluid masking technique for this one and then wrote a little Dr. Who quote around the outside and then added an arrow to indicate the quote going around and around and around .......

TIME - tutorial

Hi Hermine here, with a little tutorial this time. Time to play!

step 1 : take a stencil, add gesso with a palet knife. Leave to dry, best is to leave to dry overnight.

step 2 : take liquid ink and colour the background.

step 3 : stamp with Stazon different trees at the bottom, all the trees are on plate 1460

step 4:  stamp on a seperate piece of paper the Clockface 19468 , Whimsical Lettered man19679 and Writing triangles 19571 with Stazon. Glue the clockface onto the background. Colour the face and the with Memento Luxe and a sponge. Finish the fac with some white accents. Glue the triangles behind the face and glue onto the clock. Make some black lines with a fine liner that acts like a border.

Hope you like the tutorial.

Warmly Hermine

A little inspiration from me...

Hello everyone,

For my DT post today, I have made a pocket letter. I see lots of people making these and thought to have a look what all the fuss is about !! lol

Anyway, here it is, complete with a tutorial of how I made it ! Enjoy....

This is the finished product ...

It is based on this mood board with the following words:

femininity, women, exploration, rainbow, neutral and nature, storm, maps, vintage, writing, script, yellows, tans, black and white, stripes, bold, rainbows, storms and more!

I hope I did it justice...

Here is the process:

I started with a piece of white card stock measuring 10,5 x 7,5 inches. This is 9 ATC's.

I used distress ink (scattered straw) and a blending tool to colour the paper..

I also used Walnut Stain to age the edges...

Like so...

Next I used a stencil with Walnut stain Distress Ink and a blending tool and also with water in a spray bottle so you get darker than the page and lighter than the page...

Next I stamped the background using Archival Inks. I did use more than one stamp for this. A list of all the stamps I used is at the bottom of this post with links to the shop...

This is how it looks after stamping....

Here's a close up...

Next, I cut the now finished background into 9 ATC's..

and started looking for stamps to use, remembering the words from the mood board.

Work in process, I just stamped the images, some on white card stock some straight on the background. I coloured the ones I stamped on white card stock, cut them out and adhered them to the cards.

And here is the finished project again...
I quite like how it came out..  I slipped all the cards into an ATC page and put some washi tape at the edge where the holes are. I did re-punch the holes...

I also took pictures of the separate ATC's:

I hope you like my project and got some inspiration to play along with us... and NO you don't have to use that many stamps or make 9 ATC's.... Just take some of the words and colours and make something !

I used the following stamps:

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I really hope you will play along with us this month !
